A bit about me, Di. 

I’m a sound therapist for Dimensional Sound Therapy. I grew up in Chittering on  property with my parents and two brothers.
Happy childhood riding motor bikes and seeing first hand where my food came from.
When I was 14 years of age I received the news that I was born without part of my reproductive system. The childhood dreams of having a family were taken from me by ‘the man in a white coat’.
I was soon introduced to drugs and alcohol which I found took away my anxiety and gave me the confidence to face the world as I was.
Fast forward to age 37 years, my dad found an article in the paper about a woman born the same way I was. He did some research and found that I was not alone. It turns out I have a rare disorder that affects women, and it had a name. MRKH Syndrome.
Once I received this news, I checked myself into a private rehabilitation centre and started my life.
I studied intensive CBT work for 2 years to re-learn how to think healthy and positive thoughts like a ‘normal’ person. I also learnt a great deal about addiction.
Over this time, I found myself taking prescription medication which my body now relied on.

I came across Sound Therapy at an expo which I immediately signed up for.
Knowing nothing about how vibration and frequency work, I was keen to find out.
Soon after starting my course I felt strongly about coming off my medications however I had no support from anyone around on this move so I decided to do it myself using the knowledge I was learning in my course about ‘Vibration’.
Over the next 3 to 4 months I successfully removed all of the very powerful medications I was on by using vibration through Sound.
I had no withdrawal symptoms what-so-ever.
I could finally feel my own feelings after years of numbing them away.

I’m now 5 years sober. 

Through my experiences all I want to do is help others through the rough times and see them live and enjoy life as it is.
We live in a beautiful world which needs to be seen the same way we all want to be seen.

The Great Benefits of Sound Meditation

Supported by scientific research, the basic principle, of sound healing is that all matter is energy which is eternal and in a constant state of vibration, or resonance. There is significant research in modern day physics, and in particular, quantum physics, that shows we are vibrational beings.

The body has approximately 100 trillion cells and every one of these is controlled by an electromagnetic field which is resonating at its own unique sound frequency. Therefore, every part of your body, bones, organs, muscles and tissues has their own unique vibratory rate which can change depending on your state of wellbeing.

Sound has the ability to assist the brain to release different neurochemicals and hormones such as endorphins the body’s natural opiates. Other effects are increased oxygen to the cells, reduction of stress hormones and lowered blood pressure. The chemicals that are released are dopamine (the ‘feel good’ chemical), oxytocin’s (a natural painkiller and chemical that lets us bond with others).

Sound puts our brains into alpha and theta brain wave activity which takes you towards parasympathetic functioning which slows the heart beat and slows breathing and therefore becoming much more relaxed.
